Friday Fight Night at Good-fellowship
Boxing at West Hull on Friday night was a great success. Sam Cadwallender was the first on for St. Paul’s Boxing Academy against a boxer from Fusion in Grimsby. Sam took the centre of the ring pushing his opponent back with straight shots. A hard fought contest where Sam had to dig deep and put in his best performance to date winning by a unanimous points decision.
Next up, top of the bill was Remi Jones fresh from his successful trip to Holland. He had a tight first round then in the second round found his range and distance with the jab setting up the back hand then finally landing a crunching left hook to the body where the West Hull boxer couldn’t carry on and the referee stopped the contest.
Paul Kershaw said “I was very proud of both lads performances showing that hard work and dedication pays off. They both flew the flag high for the gym”.
